Frantically dodging death rays in space has never been this cute. Space Corgi Parry (not a typo) is an intense, bite-sized, 2D side-scrolling bullet hell where you’ll be controlling the titular Space Corgi and avoiding volatile projectiles. The game boasts a charming pixel art that blends nicely with the sort-of absurd concept, and a catchy soundtrack that blends in nicely with the ambiance.
This corgi isn’t just your average corgi, it’s a space corgi. So, naturally, it has the ability to absorb enemy fire and even stop time. Absorbing projectiles will build meter that will let you pause time, and while time is stopped you can charge your fire for some massive damage. These two features are the main mechanic that really differentiates Space Corgi Parry from most other bullet hells (other than the obvious). However, it’s not as easy as it sounds. Timing the absorption takes precision, all while avoiding incoming fire makes for a challenging feat. Don’t forget, one hit will kill you.
The one and only current playable level provides a quick tutorial as well as a boss, but can be completed in about 10 minutes. That shouldn’t shy you away from trying it out. Once you get the hang of it, try to go for a perfect run!
